Maruti e Vitara Variants Explained Ahead of Launch

 Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch its first all-electric SUV, the e Vitara, in India later this year. The e Vitara will be available in three variants—Delta, Zeta, and Alpha—each offering distinct features and specifications to cater to a range of preferences and budgets.

  • Delta Variant: Equipped exclusively with a 48.8 kWh battery pack, delivering 142 bhp and 192.2 Nm of torque. This setup offers an estimated range of approximately 500 km on a single charge. 

  • Zeta and Alpha Variants: Available with either the 48.8 kWh or a larger 61.1 kWh battery pack. The latter produces 171.62 bhp and 192 Nm of torque, maintaining a similar range of around 500 km. 

All variants support DC fast charging, enabling a 0–80% charge in just 50 minutes.

Delta (Base Variant)

  • Exterior: Three-point LED DRLs and tail lights, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

  • Interior & Comfort: 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 10.25-inch full-color LCD instrument cluster, fabric upholstery, front armrest with storage.

  • Safety: Six airbags including driver knee airbag, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, front parking sensors, rear disc brakes. 

Zeta (Mid Variant)

  • Additional Features over Delta: Auto headlamps and wipers, follow-me-home headlamps, soft-touch dashboard and door trims, connected-car technology, air purifier, multi-color ambient lighting. 

Alpha (Top Variant)

  • Premium Additions: Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) including Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive High Beam System, Blind Spot Monitoring, Active Cornering Control, and Multi Collision Braking. Also features ventilated front-row seats, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with brake hold function, and emergency call with SOS button.

The e Vitara will be offered in 10 color options, including:

  • Single-tone: Opulent Red, Bluish Black, Arctic White, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Nexa Blue.

  • Dual-tone: Land Breeze Green, Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, and Arctic White—all with a Bluish Black roof.

The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara is expected to launch in India in September 2025, with an estimated price range between ₹17 lakh and ₹22.5 lakh (ex-showroom).

With its combination of range, features, and safety technologies, the e Vitara is poised to compete with rivals like the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and MG ZS EV in the Indian market.
